Talkin’ Turkey

So how was everybody’s T-giving?  Mine was good.  I decided to cook an Italian-themed dinner this year.  We had antipasto (olives, cheese, etc.), and I made a hot Italian sausage and fennel-flavored stuffing to go in the turkey, and served braised greens with garlic and pesto mashed potatoes on the side.  That’s why I cook T-giving at home; so I can follow whims and mix up the menu a bit.  (or as whatshisface would say, “Kick it up a notch.”)

Other than that, we didn’t do much.  Didn’t go shopping; but went to the park.  Watched a lot of movies, including our personal T-giving tradition, Apocalypse Now.  Almost went to see Casino Royale, but thought better of it at the last minute.   BW bought me the rest of the series run of Grounded for Life on DVD (I call it ‘the big box of Hot’), so we watched a lot of that.  Donal on the holidays….ahhhh! :)   Oh, and we rented The New World (which I actually really liked, in spite of Colin Farrell) and some old 1930′s horror movies.

What’d you do?
