Stand aside, crack rock!

Your powers are feeble compared to that of….

I don’t usually like pre-flavored coffees for two reasons:

1. whatever the “flavor”is, they always tend to taste very, very artificial.

2. they’re made from the worst, cheapest, nastiest coffee…thinking that the flavor will mask that fact.

That’s why I’ve been very impressed with the new Starbucks “Natural Fusions” line.  It only comes in three very natural flavors:  Cinnamon, Vanilla, and Caramel.  You’ll find no Peppermint-Oreo or Baileys Irish Creme or what-the-heck ever.

I got a sample of the vanilla variety in the mail (perks of being a SBUX whore), and quite liked it.  But I’m very impressed with the Cinnamon.  The flavor is very subtle, no Red Hots or Cinnamon-toothpaste style of fake cinnamon here.  But the coffee bean matrix is what really makes it; nice and dark and rich and bold and roasty.  Low acidity and would be good coffee even without the cinnamon added.

Besides cinnamon, it contains other “botanicals” to balance out the flavor.  They are: orange peel, nutmeg, and sasparilla.

Sasparilla?

Anyway, buy some.  You won’t regret it.

I’ve put cinnamon in my coffee for a while on mom’s homeopathic advice, and it’s pretty tasty. I’ll try the SBUX version for sure.

Editor’s Note: This crack…uh, coffee is sold only in grocery stores, not SBUX shops.
