C’est la Guerre

Ahh well.  Sorry after all that hype to my friends that Sidney Crosby didn’t show up to play on Saturday night.  Also sorry that the NHL chose to endanger their players in the shitty weather/ice conditions just so that they could get on primetime (and also not interfere with Sunday’s precious football schedule).  *eye roll*  Effin’ asshats.  Every time I get back into a mood to like hockey, the NHL reminds me what a bunch of wastes of oxygen their management/organization is, and makes me vow to never give them another red cent.

*SIGH*  ANYway…let’s focus on the good:

  1. Jordan is back.  Not only back, but as if he never left.  I may be biased, but I’d say he was the best player on the ice last night.
  2. We all got purty new jerseys out of it.  And mine are proudly bootleg knockoffs, so I didn’t have to give the NHL one dime!  ;)
  3. Snowboarding is on the weekend of Jan. 27th!!  Winter X Games, bayyybeee!

I just have to ask…when did you start liking hockey? Hockey is a sport. :?

Personally, I’m Canadian, but I somehow escaped the seemingly obligatory adoration of sweaty 18-30somethings traipsing around on the ice after a chunk of rubber. I also hold certain opinions about the homo-erotic nature of men and sports, but those kind of suspicions are nothing new, haha.

    Anyways, just curious.
